Intraoperative period, 3 hours after the operation and 1st postoperative day of pain, chewing and speaking scores were significantly higher in the conventional group than the laser group (*p<0.05) (median value), 7th postoperative day pain was different (*p<0.05) but speaking and chewing scores showed no substantial difference (*p>0.05).
